A Celebration of Life Service for Marcia “Marcy” Lynn Cunningham John age 77 of Enid will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2016 in the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Jarrett Banks officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The casket will not be opened at the funeral home.

Marcy was born in 1939 in Oklahoma City to Paul and Laura “Smitty” Smith Cunningham and passed away February 20, 2016 at her home. She attended school in Oklahoma City and graduated in 1957. She got married on February 6, 1964 in Hurst, TX. She moved to Enid in 1973. Marcy was baptized at Crown Heights Christian Church in Oklahoma City, taught Sunday school at Davis Park Christian Church for a number of years.

Marcy worked at Phillips University for 14 years, worked 13 years at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City until her retirement in 2002, and was working at Abbey’s Hallmark for the past 9 years. She was a former member of the American Business Women’s Association, Historical Society of Enid, University Women and Staff Association at Phillips University.

Marcy is survived by her daughters, Bobbie Lynn Jones of Enid, Marsi Lei Morrow and husband Aaron of Lee’s Summit, MO, grandchildren; Jesse Jones, Micheal, Elizabeth ”Leisa”, Shanyn, Laura, and Charles ”Jack” Morrow, sister Cheryl Hudson and husband Gerald of Norman, and nephews, Lance and wife Michelle Brown and Tracy Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother Michael Cunningham.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, ASPCA, or St. Jude’s Children Hospital with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
