A Celebration of Life Service for Connie F. Jarrett age 82 of Edmond formerly of Enid will be 10 am Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Connie was born September 10, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York to Angelo and Francis Arena Fischetti and passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 in the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City. She grew up in Brooklyn and after graduation she entered the US Army serving for a short period of time. She lived in El Paso where she met and married Jim Jarrett in 1956. They traveled around the country due to Jim’s military career. After retirement they moved to Enid in 1970. Connie was a stay at home mom, where she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she would sometimes leave her decoration out all year long. Connie was an avid wrestling fan. Connie was a sassy Italian from Brooklyn, NY, who was an independent and generous person. She loved to cook for her family and friends. Her (wit) was one of a kind and will be truly missed by those who knew her.
Connie is survived by her four sons, Daryl Jarrett of Oklahoma City, David and DeDe Jarrett of Russellville, Arkansas, Jimmy and Kim Jarrett of Austin, TX, and John Jarrett of Tulsa, four daughters, Debra Jarrett of Enid, Kelly Bell of Edmond, Cathy Tucker of Enid, and Patricia Jarrett of Tulsa, 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a brother Rocky Fischetti and a sister Barbara Fischetti both of Hoboken, N.J. and several nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, a brother and two sisters.
