A Celebration of Life Service for Dwayne E. Janzen age 75 of Enid will be Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. Jay Risener, Rev. Lynford Becker, and Rev. Garvie Schmidt officiating. Burial will preceded the service at 9:00 am in the Enid Mennonite Brethren Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
Dwayne was born August 5, 1939 to John H. and Clara Wohlgemuth Janzen in Enid and passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at his home. Dwayne married Gloria Baltzer in 1968 and to this union, Mark D. Janzen was born. Dwayne was an Industrial Education instructor, teaching 31, beginning in 1961. He taught at Kremlin-Hillsdale, Enid High, Oklahoma Bible Academy, and retired from Autry Technology Center. After retiring from teaching, he operated Kremlin-Hillsdale Rural Water District, Garfield County Water District #7 and operated the family farm near Kremlin. Dwayne was an active member of the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church, serving on various boards and committees and taught Sunday school.
He is survived by his wife Gloria of the home, son Mark of Enid, four grandchildren Tristen Janzen of Andale, KS, Marie and husband Chris Telinde of Enid, Shelby and Sydney Janzen of Enid, a sister Faith Mary and husband Ron Heinrichs of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, a niece Christine Wilson of Tampa, FL and a nephew Brad Heinrichs of Fort Myers, FL.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church or Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
