Janice Kay Rork was born on November 18, 1949 to Alvin and Beulah Gerhard. She entered into the loving arms of her Savior on February 24, 2025. She passed peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by the love of her devoted husband and children.
A woman of deep faith, kindness, and unwavering love, Janice was a beacon of warmth to all who knew her and was loved by all. She shared 55 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Roy Rork Sr., whom she fell in love with at first sight. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and the joy of family.
Janice was a cherished mother to five children: Tangy Melvin (Lee), Kristi McKee (Casey), Tracy Hartman, Roy Rork Jr. (Debbie), and Nikki Rork. She was also a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored and nurtured with a heart full of love. Janice had three brothers and three sisters, Bob, Bill, Gloria, Betty, Donna and Dennis.
Janice was a highly talented musician, excelling in both the violin and piano. She and her husband were part of a bowling league for many years. She also enjoyed racing with her husband and family. Some of her favorite pastimes included going to the lake, riding, and skiing while her dad drove the boat. She never missed an opportunity to attend any event involving her children and grandchildren, including PTA meetings and scorekeeping. She loved spending time with her family and visiting the casino. Janice was a dedicated employee, working alongside her best friend, Vicky Pfrehm, at Charburg, as well as at Kmart and Hamm & Phillips, until her retirement. She was also a proud member of Davis Park Christian Church and Family Life Missions.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing that Janice has been joyfully reunited in the kingdom of Heaven with her parents Alvin and Beulah, sister Gloria, brother Bill, and son in-law Bruce Hartman. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family.
A Celebration of Janice's life will be held in the Ladusau-Evans Chapel in Enid, Oklahoma on Monday, March 3rd at 10:00 am with Pastor Lyle Buller. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 2nd from 3:00-4:00 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
