Can you imagine the beautiful smile on Wayne's face when his heavenly father
took his hand to take him home where there is no diabetes, no more
Parkinson's, no more heart attacks. There was only peace and love with his
family by his side and the circle of loved ones waiting to greet him including his
mother and father, Stella and Jesse Jack. Wayne was born in Oklahoma City on
Christmas Day, December 25th, 1930. Moving to a farm south of Enid he
attended the last of country schools, Valley View, where he could ride his horse
and could sit in the trees to have lunch. After grade school, he went to Waukomis
High School graduating in 1949. He played basketball, lettering and receiving a
jacket. Wayne loved to hunt and received the nickname "Duke" from his bus
driver, where he loved to tell his hunting experiences with his dog Duke. On
August 10, 1950 he married the love of his life, Peggy McDaniel and on August
10, 2010 they celebrated their 60th. wedding anniversary.
He is survived by wife Peggy of the home, 2 sons and 3 grandchildren. Michael,
Diane and Darcy Jack of Austin, TX, Matthew, Kim, Alexis and Carson Jack of
Bentonville, AR and brother Robert Jack of Enid, OK. He is also survived by 2
special nieces, Kathy Rooks and Diane Arterbury,and many more nieces,
nephews and cousins. Wayne was blessed to have great loved ones that took
care of him at the Commons nursing home for the past two and one-half years
where they became part of his family.
Wayne loved working for Frontier Airlines and retired after 24 years.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with
Rev. Christopher Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery
under the direction Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends
at the funeral home from 7pm. to 8 pm at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund or The
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, in Rogers, Arkansas with Ladusau-Evans Funeral
Home serving as custodians of the fund.
