Virginia Hutchins

Funeral services for Virginia Claire Hutchins will be 2 pm. Tuesday, May 10, 2011at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Southall officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Enid Cemetery. She passed away on May 5, 2011 one day prior to her 60th wedding anniversary. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday May 9, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Virginia was born May 24, 1928 in Hutchinson, KS the daughter of Harvey and Marie Copeland. She grew up in Great Bend, KS and graduated from Great Bend High School. She graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, KS in 1950 with a BS in Business. She married Max R. Hutchins in May 1951 and they moved to Enid in 1952. She was employed at Dillingham Insurance for 18 years from 1969-1987. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Friendship Sunday school class. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority since 1953 and was a volunteer at St. Mary’s Mercy Hospital.
She is survived y her husband Max of the home, tow sons, Mark Hutchins and wife Shirley of Lubbock, TX, Richard Hutchins and wife Diane of Edmond, OK, a daughter Anne Edmonds and husband Dr. Brad Edmonds of Ponca City, OK, sister Connie Kvasnicka and husband Bill of Shawnee, KS, sister-in-law Karen Copeland of Bartlesville, OK, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother James Copeland.
