Funeral services for Norma Jean Huckleberry age 78 of Enid will be 10 am Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Grayson Lucky officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Monday.
Norma was born October 6, 1934 in Enid to Warren and Rosa Heyen Rankin and passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 in St. Mary’s Regional Hospital. She was raised in Fairview, OK where she attended and graduated from Fairview High School in 1952. Norma married John Eugene Huckleberry on June 25, 1952 in Fairview. She worked as the Head Teller at Central National Bank for several years.
Norma was a very active member of First United Methodist Church, where she helped with funeral dinners, making coffee, and served on the General Circle. She helped with delivering of Meals on Wheels.
She was a loving devoted mother and grandmother and was known as the “Core” of the family. Everyone was welcomed in their home.
Survivors include her husband John of the home, Nancy and husband Lynn Heim and Carol Clark and Mel Shebester both of Enid, 6 grandchildren; Kendra Laposi, Emily Wyckoff, Katie Marksberry, Kayla Heim, Ryan Heim, Brian Clark and 6 great grandchildren, sister Darlene Hime of Stockton, MO, brother-in-law Jack and Della Huckleberry of Enid and several nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, infant granddaughter Leslie Carol Cormack, and brother-in- law Lee Huckleberry.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation- Kidney division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
