Aubery Howard

November 5, 1936 — July 18, 2014

Aubery Ray Howard, 77 of Enid passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at his home surrounded by friends and family. He was born to Albert Howard and Effie Lee Brashiers on November 5th 1936 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Aubery married Sharon Franks on September 25, 1959, and has been together for 54 years.

Aubery was stationed in Alaska for the United States Army for two years. Aubery founded Howard Tile Co. in 1970. He enjoyed laying tile and fixing up his rental properties.

Aubery was an active member of Oakwood Christian Church and a former AMBUCS member. He loved to playing golf, traveling and going fishing at Lake Texoma with his family and friends.

Aubery was preceded in death by his two brothers, O’Dale Howard and Euel Jay Howard.

Aubery and Sharon Howard have two surviving children, Aubery E. Howard and his wife Joshlyn and Tammy Howard-Church and her husband Jim, three grandchildren, Ashley Church-Mari and husband Chad, Audry Howard, and Rachelle Howard, two great-grand children, Austin Mari and Madisyn Mari, and his sister Dorthey Saunders.

Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Oakwood Christian Church with Rev. Dan Wilson and Rev. Eric Keller officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Cremation and services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
