Funeral services for Donald “Don” Ray Horn age 82 of Enid will be 10 a.m. Friday at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Don was born June 11, 1930 in Marlow, OK to Alba and Retha Callaway Horn and passed away peacefully on July 16, 2012 at his home in Enid. Don grew up during the great depression. He lived in the Hennessey area at a young age. In 1952 he married Olive Anne Hart and of that union three children were born. He later married Delores Freeman. She preceded him in death in March 2008.
Don worked for Bond Bakery for several years until there closing. Then he went to work for Rainbow Bakery in Moore until he retired. He moved back to Enid where he worked for Pioneer Schools as a custodian and bus driver for 7 years.
Don is survived by his children; Denise Logan of Garber, Gary Horn and Zedra Primus of Enid, and Pat Burdick and husband Frank of Enid, two sisters June Long of Mannford, and Betty Kay Moorman of Enid, a brother Frank Lee Hutchins of Wichita, KS, twelve grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Georgia Carpenter.
Don was a wonderful husband, loving father and grandfather. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved watching the Oklahoma University Sooners Football.
