The funeral service for Leland T Holland, age 83, will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 3:00 pm at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Dr Don Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in the Ames Cemetery, Ames, OK. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 7-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Leland was born August 9, 1927 to Mr and Mrs Cloyce Holland in Eldorado, OK and died December 20, 2010 in Enid, OK. He grew up and attended school in Eldorado, Pond Creek, Ada and Crawford, Oklahoma. His hobbies included horses and yard work. He was member of the Western Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Mr. Holland worked for the Tinker Air Force Base as a welder in their maintenance department and retired after 17 years. He served his country in the United States Army during the WWII era. Mr. Holland married Lois on November 8, 1980 in Ada, OK.
He is survived by: wife Lois of the home, children; Robert Holland and wife Debora of Pleasanton, CA, Andrea Holland of Richmond, CA, Rhealyn Holland of Redwood City, CA, John A. Wood and wife Debra of Hennessey, OK and Jo Ann Cottom and husband Gearld of Ames, OK. Siblings; Lila McColgan of Ponca City, OK, Lucille Nabors of Elk City, OK, Haskell Holland of Tecumseh, OK and Laverne Watson of Pearidge, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Lou Harper of Mooreland, OK; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by; his parents, brother; Kenneth Holland and great grandson; Joshua Nolan Wood
