Graveside services for James Thomas Hoffman age 82 of Emporia, KS formerly of Ringwood will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Peaceful Cemetery, south of Okeene with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
James was born October 12, 1930 in Okeene, OK to John and Hannah Nusz Hoffman and passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Emporia, Kansas. He grew up on a farm near Ringwood, OK and attended school in Ringwood.
James entered the U.S. Army and served during the WW II. After being discharged from the Army, he came back to the Fairmont community later moving to Kansas.
James is survived by his two sisters, Dorothy Haley of Enid, and Iva Nusz of Yukon, OK and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Malinda Hoffman, 3 brothers Leon, John, and Billy Hoffman, Sister Jonnetta Dugger.
James was known for his compassion for animals and loved to fish.
