A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Van Lee Hodges, 48, of Enid, will be Saturday, June 14, 2014, 11:00 AM at The Willow View United Methodist Church with Pastor Lesly Broadbent, Rev. David Burris and Rev. Dirk Hodges officiating. Private interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home from 6 to 7 PM Friday.
Van was born November 8, 1965 in Fowler, Kansas, the son of Ronald and Jobyna Walker Hodges and passed away June 10, 2014. Van was a graduate of Tonkawa High School in 1984. He then attended and graduated with a degree in Psychology from the Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He was united in marriage to Debbie Gasaway August 8, 1987 in Alva, OK. Van was employed as a teacher at Springtown, Texas and Chisholm Middle School . He was most recently employed as a conductor for the BNSF Railroad. Van was a member of the Willow View United Methodist Church. He enjoyed music, playing and coaching sports. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor. His greatest love in life was spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Debbie, one daughter, McKinle, two sons, Kayle and Tanner, his mother, Jobyna Hodges of Tonkawa, OK, one sister, Julee Meliza and her husband Sheldon of Woodward, OK. and a brother, Rev. Dirk Hodges and his wife Lori of Keene, TX, his mother and father -in-law, Chuck and Carolyn Gasaway of Alva, OK., numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald G. Hodges.
