A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Franklyn D. Hickerson, 81, of Enid, will be Monday, November 3, 2014, 10:00 AM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Tines officiating. Interment will military honors will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7PM Sunday.
Franklyn was born September 17, 1933 in Lone Wolf, OK the son of Orville and Maude Ferguson Hickerson and passed away October 30, 2014. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Navy. Franklyn was a sonar operator on the USS Watts. He was united in marriage to Donna Ferguson March 2, 1954 in Lamont, OK. He was employed by Bond Bakery for 13 years, later employed in air-conditioning for Kemph-Munsinger and then later for Luckinbill Inc. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local # 344 for over 45 years. Frank enjoyed fishing and working on radios and listening to old country music. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife Donna, one daughter, Debbie Foster and her husband Butch of Enid, two sons, Wayne Hickerson and his wife Jammie of Stillwater, OK, Matt Hickerson and his wife Cindy of Tuttle, OK, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and twelve siblings.
