Betty Henderson

Funeral services for Betty M. Henderson age 88 of Enid will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Lynford Becker and Rev.Thomas House officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Betty was born October 18, 1923 in Atchison, KS to Raymond and Virginia Peterson Phillips and passed away Monday, October 01, 2012 in St. Mary’s Regional Hospital. She attended and graduated from Atchison High School in 1942. She married Ronald Henderson on July 22, 1943 in Atchison, KS and he passed away March 13, 2011. They moved to Enid in 1967 from Muskogee, OK.

Betty worked as a manager for the Gift Box for several years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was a longtime volunteer at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital.

Betty enjoyed walking at the mall, meeting with her coffee group every morning and as an avid gardener, she took great pride taking care of her flowers and her yard.

Betty enjoyed traveling with her husband to horse shows and rodeos until Ron’s health no longer allowed them to travel.

Betty was a devoted loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and always had their best interest at heart.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Vicki Jeffery and husband, Paul, Sheila Healy and husband, Pat all of Enid and 8 grandchildren, Matt Jeffery and wife Sara of Albuquerque, NM, Trish Healy of Oklahoma City, OK, Tim Healy and wife Deanna of Edmond, OK, Kim Crawford of Tahlequah, OK, and Rhonda, Todd, Aaron and Chad Henderson of Las Vegas, NV.

Betty was also preceded in death by her son, Ronnie, a sister Virginia Christie, and Brother Raymond “Sonny” Phillips.

Memorials may be made to OMRF- cancer or Parkinson’s division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund.
