Ruby Hein

November 3, 1923 — September 3, 2014

A Celebration of Life for Ruby Mae Hein, age 90, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, Oklahoma with Pastor Mike Hamilton officiating. Family will receive friends at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2014. She passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Ruby was born November 3, 1923 in Meno, Oklahoma to parents Andrew J. Peckham and Ethel (Hitch) Peckham. She lived most of her life in Enid, graduating from Enid High School then attended Enid Business College. Ruby worked for the Department of Labor during World War II. Later she worked for Dr. Franz, and part-time at Bob’s Cone Corner. She married Elmer Hein, and on March 17, 1996, they celebrated fifty wonderful years together. Elmer passed away a couple of weeks later on Easter Sunday.

Ruby is predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Ethel, her husband, Elmer Hein, two sons, Jerry and Allen Eugene, and a brother, Donald Peckham.

She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Haley, of Broken Arrow, sister, Ella Christine Buckman, of Vero Beach, Florida, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
