Funeral service for Jewel M. Hays age 75 of Enid will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2010 at Garriott Road Church of Christ. Jerry Campbell will officiate. Burial will follow on the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
She was born October 25, 1935 in McCloud, OK to Elmer Brown and Lucille Hayes-Brown and passed away Monday, November 8, 2010 suddenly at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She graduated from Enid Public School systems and received a degree from OSU Technical College. She married Ronald K. Hays on August 5, 1960. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital and Bond Bakery. After retirement, she worked as a Sign Language interpreter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald K. Hays, her parents, and two brothers.
She is survived by four daughters, Betty Lowe of Ft. Worth, TX, Reeta Williams and Linda Poage both of Enid, and Renee Hays of Ponca City, one son Harvey Hays of Enid, one sister Jody Feely, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the 4-R-Kids foundation or Lariat Creek Christian Camp with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund.
