Velva Hawk

July 6, 1921 — June 17, 2013

Funeral services for Velva Mae Hawk, 91, of Enid, will be Saturday, June 22, 2013, 2:30 PM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Holt officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 7 PM.

Velva was born to Everett and Julie Brittain on July 6, 1921 in Ames Oklahoma and passed from this life on June 17, 2013. Velva was united in marriage to Leon E Hawk June 14, 1941 in Enid, Ok and he preceded her in death in November, 1980. Velva enjoyed the last several years living at Meadows Point playing cards and dominos with her friends. She had a great love of life and loved her life.

Velva is survived by her children Larry Hawk, Linda Grimm, Gene Hawk, six grandchildren Craig Hawk, Kimber Collier, Deidre Hornback, Stacie Boyd, Terry Hawk and Kevin Hawk, two sisters, Aileen Crawford and Dorothy Skalenda and ten great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers Elza Brittain, Raymond Brittain, and Clarence Brittain

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund. Online condolences may be left at ladusauevans.com.
