Funeral services for Mae Beth Hartman age 95 of Enid will be 2:30 pm. Monday at Garriott Road Church of Christ with Ray Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Mae Beth was born July 1, 1918 in Hooks, TX to Gaston and Mary Etta Barrow Crawford and passed away at the Greenbrier Nursing Home, Friday, September 13, 2013.
She moved to Texarkana, TX after high school to live with family. While living in Texarkana she met the love of her life Frank Hartman. They were married in 1943 in Purcell, OK. . The couple then moved to the Hartman family farm near Breckenridge, OK. Mae Beth enjoyed the farm and helping Frank with the farming and feeding cattle. Frank had asthma and couldn’t serve his country so he and Mae Beth went to California during WW II and worked in the Navy shipyard. Frank passed away in 1967
Mae Beth was a member of Garriott Road Church of Christ. She was a volunteer at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital for several years, recording 12,376 hours of service.
Mae Beth is survived by her sister Eva Sain of Bolivar, TN, caregivers Doyle and Anita Thompson of Hunter, OK, grandchildren Mark and Kim Thompson, Melissa Thompson, great grandchildren Jett Thompson, Gabe Erickson, and several nieces and nephews.
Mae Beth was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
Memorials may be given to Garriott Road Church of Christ or OMRF (Heart Division) with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
