Mary Conley Hart, a bright spirited soul peacefully departed this world to join our Lord in Heaven on December 29th, 2018. Mary was born at home on December 31, 1923 to Lewis Earl Conley and Grace Zenied Conley in Fairview, Oklahoma.
Mary lived in and around Fairview until she married Shelby Zimmerman in 1943. Mary and Shelby had 5 children together that they raised in Oxford, Kansas.
After their divorce, she was married to Charles Hart and they resided in Enid, OK. In November of 1997, Mary moved to Anchorage, Alaska to live with her daughter, Grace Gray. She was a very good bookkeeper and assisted Grace with her accounting business.
Mary had a strong faith in Christ and was the one the family looked to for comforting prayer and words from the scripture. She was our prayer warrior.
One of her greatest passions in life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. Mary loved to garden and could weed the flower beds better than anyone! She loved traveling and had great memories from family road trips and adventures, as well as vacations with family. Preferring books over television, she was an avid reader, but very choosy about what she read. She enjoyed quilting a great deal. For every wedding, birth, and graduation - a quilt was lovingly and thoughtfully put together.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, daughter Janice, and her husband, Charles Hart. She is survived by Grace and Robert Gray of Anchorage; Patricia and Lance Anderson of Flowery Branch, Georgia; Sherry and Ed Reddick of Enid, OK; and Larry and Dawn Zimmerman of Mustang, OK; along with many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The legacy of faith she has left for all she loved can be found in the scriptures: "Jesus replied 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'" Matthew 22:37
Memorial contributions in Mary's name may be made to Hope Outreach with Ladusau - Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
