A celebration of Life for Harry J. Anson Jr, age 76, of Garber, will be 1:00 pm, Saturday August 24, 2024 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Harold McKeenhen officiating, with the United States Army providing full military honors. Cremation and service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Harry was born July 26, 1948 in Pasadena, TX to Harry and Marna Anson, and passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024 in Garber, OK.
He attended Deer Park Public Schools; he married Kathy Anson on July 5, 1969. Harry and Kathy met on a blind date and were married for 55 years. They had three children, Teresa, Danny, and Matt. Harry spent almost 11 years in the US Army as a specialist mechanic, after his honorable discharge from the Army as an E5 Sargent, he then went on to work in the Oil Field for many years.
He enjoyed his woodworking, working on his many vehicles over the years including his rat-rod, and spending time with his kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Anson Sr. and Marna Anson. He is survived by his wife Kathy; children, Teresa Woods, and husband Allen, of Garber, OK; Danny Anson, and his wife April of Garber, OK and Matt Anson and his wife Tamara of Yukon, OK; eight grandkids, ten great grandkids; and one great, great grandkid; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Harry’s name may be made to, www.colorectalcancer.org, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
