The funeral service for Rodney Lee Hanshew, age 65 will be held Friday, January
21, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Don Stevens
will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are
under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Rodney was born July 7, 1945 in Fort Smith, AR to Rodney H and Virginia Allen
Hanshew and died January 16, 2011 at his home. He grew up and attended
school in Fort Smith, AR and later joined the U S Army in 1961. He was married
to Blanche Adams, then divorced and later married Judy Thomas. He was a truck
driver for over 30 years. He was a member of the Christ Church of North Enid.
His hobbies included, fishing, playing cards, and telling stories. He loved the
Lord and studying his Bible.
He is survived by; four daughters: Melinda Meyer of Enid, OK, Olga Cusick of Enid,
OK, Trina and Trisha of Colorado; two sons, Rodney Hanshew of Lubbock, TX
and Shannon Hanshew and wife Angela of Springfield, TN; three step children,
Virgil, Tammy and Lisa; two brothers, Richard Hanshew and wife Diane of Austin,
TX, Carl Hanshew of Austin, TX, one sister, Rosemary Williams of Burkburnett,
TX; and 15 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, four brothers, Clifford, Larry,
Merle and Robert Joe.
