The funeral service for Harold A Hamilton, age 91, will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Keith Miller will officiate. Burial will be 3:00 pm in the Hinton Cemetery, Hinton, OK with Rev Tom Clifton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Harold was born November 8, 1919 in Hinton, OK to Charles A and Bertie May (Curry) Hamilton and died November 22, 2010 in Enid, OK. He graduated from Hinton High School in 1936.
He married Gerry Hines on May 30, 1941. She passed away on July 24, 1978. He married Juanita Stratton in May 1980 and she passed away on October 24, 2009.
He worked at various GM dealers; Northcutt Chevrolet and retired after 20 years. He volunteered at Bass Hospital for 30 years. He served as deacon at First Baptist Church in Hinton, Calvary Baptist and First Baptist in Enid. He sponsored children through World Missions. He enjoyed reading his Bible, he liked to travel and raising flowers and having a small garden.
Survivors include his children: Betty Hawkins and husband Eldon of Hinton, OK and Charles Hamilton of Abilene, KS; step chidren, Betty Hitchcock of Maumel, AR, Jerry Stratton of Plano, TX; five grandchildren: Terry, Dianna, Clay, Alie, and Susan, eight great grandchildren: Blake, Blayne, Blaire, Austin, Dakota, T.J., Tassie and Breann; four stepgrandchildren and eight step great grandchildren; sister-in-law Cecelia and Ray Reckard and special friend, Verna Henthorn.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Gerry and Juanita, son, Harold Dean; two brothers, Ray and Owen; and three sisters, Ina, Sylvia and Edna.
