Barbara June Hager was born Barbara June Goll on August 21, 1936 to William and Laura Goll in Enid, OK, and passed away April 24, 2024 after a battle with C.O.P.D.. Barbara was the youngest of the five Goll girls, Ann, Jean, Eileen and Dorthy. She was raised in Enid and attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Barbara had a passion for softball and baseball, as she was an outstanding shortstop on the softball team. She was an X-Ray technician at St. Mary’s Hospital and later worked at Champlain Oil Company in the Credit processing division. She had other jobs and volunteer work around the Enid area during her lifetime.
Barbara donated her body to science at the Oklahoma Health Science Center in Oklahoma City. She will be Interred at the Oklahoma Health Science Center, as a Donor to Oklahoma University. She requested no service or remembrance ceremony; she wanted people to remember her as she was.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; four sisters Anne, Eileen, Jeanne, and Dorothy; Leland’s father, Bob Dennis; oldest son, Dr. Leland Wayne Dennis, and his daughter Haviva McKinney Dennis. She is survived by, ex-husband Marvin Ray Thurman of Bartlesville; youngest son Marland Scott Thurman, and family of Broken Arrow; and many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews.
