Mrs. Virginia Pearl Bradley Powell Green, age 89, of Sparta, TN passed away Monday, August 12th, 2013 at NHC HealthCare of Sparta. Mrs. Green was born in Dinuba, CA on January 7, 1924, the daughter of the late Charlie Roy and Bulah Mae (Clouse) Bradley.
Funeral services will be held at Faith Baptist Church at 10am on Thursday, August 15th, with Dr. T. Reynolds Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Springs Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-9pm. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, Sparta, TN.
Survivors include:
Children - Barbara Templeton and husband Jerome of Louisville, TN
Roy Powell and wife Shirley of Sparta
Carla Lizarraga and husband Issac of Marietta, CA
Virginia Tines and husband Don of Enid, Oklahoma
Eston Green and wife Debbie of Sparta
Six brothers - William Bradley, Tom Bradley, Paul Bradley, John Bradley, Ronald Bradley and
David Bradley
One sister - Lola Mae Andrews
Twelve grandchildren - James Templeton, Jenna Waite, Michael Waite, Bethany Lizarriaga,
Christopher Lizarriaga, Loren Lizarriaga, Lindsey Lizarriaga,
Simra Tines, Stephen Tines, Brad Green, Melanie Green and
Ashley Green.
Eight great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors also survive.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Green was preceded in death by two husbands, James Paul Powell and Carl Clay Green; two grandchildren, Esther Ruth Templeton and Nathaniel Tines; one sister, Mary Ruth Milligan; four brothers, Joseph, Ray, Charlie and Porter Bradley.
