A Celebration of Life service for Laura Elaine Young Gosney age 83 of Enid will be 10 am Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Elaine was born February 4, 1937 in Enid, OK to Ernest and Fern Marshall Rogers and passed away June 26, 2020 at The Commons.
She married Loyd Young in 1958 and he passed away February 11, 1986. She later married Ernest Gosney on October 3, 1987 and he passed away on May 5, 1997. Elaine was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she was very active in the nursery and choir. She worked as a secretary for Dense Mechanical for over 40 years.
Elaine is survived by her son, Steven and wife Renee Young of Enid, daughter Gwen Bailey and husband Michael, step son Donald Gosney of Irving, TX, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three sisters; Roberta Patterson, Connie Hamilton, and Iris Jackson and numerous other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a great grandchild, and step son Gary Gosney.
Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Enid with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund.
