A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Jacky Lee Goodman, 80, of Enid, will be Friday, August 29, 2014, 10:00 AM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Olson officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 7PM at the funeral home.
Jack was born February 12, 1934 in Pond Creek, OK the son of Lee and Viola Peck Goodman and died August 26, 2014. After his mother’s death, Jack was raised by his paternal grandparents. He was a graduate of Pond Creek High School where played football and was a member of the band playing his trumpet. He was united in marriage to Shirley Johnson May 24, 1953 in the North Enid Chapel and she preceded him in death April 10, 2012. Jack was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Army. Jack enjoyed playing music and woodworking.
Survivors include two aunts, Betty Hignite of Enid and Patsy Carpenter of Wichita, KS, sister-in-laws, Phyllis Miller, Mary Johnson and Sharon Johnson and a brother-in-law, Clarence Burrell, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
