Barbara Goldsmith

Graveside Services with Military Honors for Barbara D. Goldsmith, 96, of Enid, will be Friday, February 14, 2014, 2:00 PM at The Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Barbara was born October 19, 1917 in Westfield, MA, the daughter of Emil and Anna Maschin. She was a graduate of Westfield High School in in 1934 and Bay Path Business College in Springfield, MA in 1935. Barbara was a United States Women’s Army veteran serving during WWII. She was united in marriage to James B Goldsmith October 20, 1945 in New London, CT at the St. James Episcopal Church. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Submarine Veterans Auxiliary, Shrine Ladies and the Eastern Star.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue Harris of Enid, two granddaughters, Nancy Wells and Amber Coker of Little Rock, AR and two great-grandchildren, Elise Wells and Dayne Coker also

Little Rock, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation or The Wounded Warriors Project with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund . Condolences may be made online at ladusauevans.com.
