Gillian White

Funeral services for Gillian Mary White, age 87, of Enid, will be 10:30 am, Friday, August 30, 2024, at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, with Father John Toles officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

 It is with great sadness that the family of Gillian “Jill” White announce her passing on August 11, 2024. Jill was born in Birmingham, England, to John and Hilda Lawton on July 23, 1937. She attended school and business college in Birmingham. She met Harvey Joe White while he was stationed in England in 1956 with the Army. They were married on July 12, 1957 in Enid. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2009.

 She worked at Mid-Western Life Insurance Company for over twenty years until its closing, and then worked for Impact III Limited and James R. Cox, Attorney, until her retirement in 2000. Jill was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and P.E.O.

 She enjoyed casino trips and had a huge heart for all animals, especially cats.

 She is survived by her daughter, Kerry McKaig and husband Joe, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; grandsons, Mark Mckaig and wife Erika, and Andrew McKaig and wife Berkeley, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; great-grandchildren, Hazel, Harvey, and a great-granddaughter due in January. A special nephew, Mickey White, of Moore, Oklahoma, also survives her. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Harvey.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jill’s name may be made to the Enid SPCA or Our Daily Bread with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
