Graveside services for Warren Geis, will be 2:00 pm, Monday, February 7, 2022 at Cherokee Cemetery, Cherokee, Oklahoma, with Pastor James Yoder officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 pm at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Warren Geis, of Enid, Oklahoma, passed to his heavenly home on February 4, 2022, at the age of 88 years. He was born in Cherokee, Oklahoma to parents Edwin and Lola Geis. Warren graduated from Cherokee High School where he met and then married his wife of 69 years, Dorothy, in the summer of 1952. Their journey through life took them through the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, and Indiana moving over 45 times and coming full circle to their home in Oklahoma, where they retired as residents of Golden Oaks Village.
Warren was a born problem-solver, approaching challenges with creativity and analytical thinking. He had a quick sense of humor and loved the art of the story. His work career spanned the years taking him from the family farm to his executive positions in the corporate world.
He was active in The Gideons International mission to distribute Bibles, served as a deacon in the Baptist Church, and served on church building committees.
Warren is survived by his wife, Dorothy, son Greg Geis and wife Linda, daughters Barbara Kizer and husband, Randy, Doren Osborn and husband, Buck; eleven grandchildren: Travis, Rainer, Paris, Nathan, Julie, Cara, Meredith, Samantha, Tyler, Luke, and Christopher; seventeen great-grandchildren; and his sister Gladys Nokes and husband, Mickey.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christa Creach and granddaughter, Jessica.
Memorial contributions in Warren’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Enid SPCA with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
