Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas J. Fuksa, 85, of Waukomis, will be Thursday, April 19, 2012, 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Bison with Rev. Joseph H. Arledge and Rev. Garry Vincent officiating. Interment will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery. A Vigil will be held at The Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home on Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
Thomas was born April 13, 1927 in Bison, OK the son of John Louis and Agnes Taborsky Fuksa. He attended Bison Public Schools. He was united in marriage to Norma Dean Stutz Oct. 10, 1950 in Bison. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps serving during the WWII era. He attended basic training at Buckley Field in Aurora, CO and was stationed for active duty on Adak of the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. He received the WWII Victory Medal. His lifelong occupation was farming and carpentry. He was a former member of The Waukomis Lion’s Club and served on the Waukomis City Planning Board. Mr. Fuksa enjoyed camping and doing woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Dean of the home; one daughter, Cynthia Lambert-Smith and her husband Phil of Drumright, OK; one son, Mark Fuksa and his wife Daria of Highlands Ranch, CO;
four grandchildren, Dustin Lambert, Katie Biswell, John Fuksa and Michelle Fuksa and a great-grandson, Krew Biswell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Alfred and his sister, Mildred.
