Fred Froemming Jr

A Celebration of Life for Fred Froemming, age 84, of Enid, is 2:00 pm, Friday, July 2, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church, Fairmont with Reverend Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Fairmont. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 6pm-8pm. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Fred was born May 2, 1937 in Fairmont to Adolph C. and Esther D. (Timm) Froemming, and passed away June 26, 2021 in Enid. He graduated from Garber High School in 1955, and immediately entered the Navy. Fred married Rita Rheude June 28, 1959 in DeLand, Florida, and then relocated to Enid where they have made their home in the same house for 58 years. He was well known at Vance AFB. Fred has served there for 60 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Rita.

Fred is survived by his two children, Thomas Froemming and Kathy Froemming Hansen, both of Enid; sister, Faye Gash, of Fairmont; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
