A Celebration of Life Service for Howard R. Francis age 94 of Enid will be 10:00 am Friday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Carrel Still officiating. Burial will be in the Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry, OK under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Howard was born December 31, 1923 north of Covington, OK to Pearl and Thersa Willington Francis and passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Greenbrier Nursing Home. He went to school in Orlando and graduated in 1942. He entered the U. S. Army on March 12, 1943 and he was injured in WW II in Germany, and was honorably discharged on December 18, 1945. He married Imogene Nielsen in Perry on January 31, 1948. He worked for Oklahoma Tire and Supply Co. He later went to work for Halliburton in Perry and Enid until he retired and then he worked for Chapperall, Sissortail and Okie Crude Company until he retired again. Howard was a member of Davis Park Christian Church where he served as Elder and Deacon. He later joined Willow Road Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife Imogene, his children Diana and Danny Blunk of Bartlesville and Larry and Lisa Francis of Stillwater, grandchildren; Howard, Buck, Charles and Christopher, great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kenan, Cohen, and Brayton and several other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Joy Ann, three brothers, George, Olin, and Pearl Jr, and Sister Evelyn.
Memorial may be made to Willow Road Christian Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
