Catherine Foster

December 24, 1913 — May 14, 2013

ARWILDA CATHERINE BULLARD FOSTER was born December 24th 1913 to Ira Bullard & Ally Martin Bullard in Alfalfa county, township saline, on the edge of the Salt Plains near Jet, Oklahoma. Her home of 3 rooms heated by wood and cow chips was a very active and happy one. She was the 4th of six children. She passed away, May 14, 2013 in Enid, OK.

Preceded in death by her HUSBAND Floyd Lee Foster; SISTERS, Peggy Burns, Edith Day and Millie Baldwin, BROTHERS, Clarence Bullard, Howard Bullard, plus her parents, Ira and Ally Bullard, and daughter in law Lillie Regier, Foster.

Surviving are her son Gary Lee Foster Sr. and wife Marcia, Georgetown, Tx, Two grandchildren Gary Lee Foster Jr,MD. and wife, Teresa of Austin, Tx; Cindy Foster Jones of Austin, Tx. and three Great Grand Daughters, Sienna, Grey, and Gracie.

Catherine moved with her family to Enid when she was in the 2nd grade. Her father had farmed but took a job with the Railroad and preached in country churches and school houses.

Catherine came to know the Lord as a Child in a Mennonite prayer service. Which is ironic as she was an intense dedicated intercessor the rest of her life. She prayed for everyone.

She met Floyd Foster at 19 and they married when she was 21yrs old. Two years later they had their first and only child Gary Lee Foster. They owned and operated a sheet metal business and did some farming as well. Catherine had the opportunity to spend time in Suriname, South America in her late 60's helping missionaries, such as Barbara Monroe, and whom she took into her home when she returned from the field. She also hosted many Surinamers who came to visit the U.S. She was loved by them and they loved her as everyone she met did.

She lived from the horse and buggy times to the computer age and everything in between. Her greatest desire was to see people come to know Jesus and the church to be revived. She literally spent most of her last days praying for this to come to pass. Please in place of flowers you can send memorial gifts to Macedonia Missions Network 2213 W. Broadway or Grace World Outreach Church, 2502 W. Elm, Enid Oklahoma

Catherine is being cremated under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and a memorial service for her will be announced at later date.
