The funeral service for Emma Jean Floyd, age 75 will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 12:00 noon at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Jim Edmison and Rev Dan Floyd will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation with the family, Friday from 3-5 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Emma was born October 2, 1934 in Pauls Valley, OK to John Thomas and Nora K (Roady) Pettigrew and died September 7, 2010 in Enid, OK.
She married John Thomas Floyd on February 5, 1951 in Pauls Valley, OK. She worked for Northrup as a secretary for several years; she worked for Champlin Refinery for several years and was also a bank teller. Emma was a loving wife, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include her husband, John of the home; daughter, Luana Hanson and husband, Anthony of Mascoutah, IL, son, Rev Dan Floyd and wife Shari of Wellington, KS; grandsons, Anthony Hanson, Andrew and Zachary Floyd; granddaughters, Nichole Shewmaker and Lindsay Hanson; great grandchildren, Jenna Shewmaker and Chandler and Chase Hanson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nora Pettigrew and mother and father–in-law, Charles and Goldie Floyd.
