Al Fields Jr

August 3, 1946 — June 2, 2017

August 3, 1946-June 2, 2017

Al G Fields, August 3, 1946-June 2, 2017.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the Ladusau Evans Chapel with Abraham Wright officiating. Cremation arrangements and the service are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home

Al was born in Waco, Texas. He lived in Pawnee, Oklahoma where he graduated from high school and developed a lifelong enjoyment of hunting and fishing. He served in the Army National Guard.

He married Judy Walenciak and they had two sons, David and Michael, and four grandchildren. Modeling and instilling an uncommon work ethic, consistency, and discipline, Al was proud of his sons, their accomplishments, and their families. He took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren.

Al worked for the BNSF Railroad for 41 years. He retired as a bridge inspector, and he loved the camaraderie and all of his many friendships with his coworkers. His quick wit and practical jokes will be remembered by all of those he knew.

Al is survived by his wife Judy; son David and his wife Jamie and their children, Luke and Hannah of Norman; son Michael and his wife Jennifer and their children Hudson and Ryan of Enid; his brothers Jim Fields, Bill Fields, and John Maltsberger; as well as nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all of Al’s many caregivers in the last year of his life at Greenbriar Nursing Home and St. Mary’s Hospital. Their kind hearts and compassionate service were extraordinary, and Al was so very grateful.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Abraham Wright for his obedience to God’s call. Al accepted Christ as his SAVIOR on July 26, 2016. The heavens declare the glory of God, and it is well with Al’s soul.
