Gabe was dearly loved by his mother who had the help and support of her mother and step-father Libby and Terry Lix, her father Steve Erickson, and brother Chris Erickson. They were blessed to have Gabe in their close family.

Gabe accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and was baptized on June 7, 2009. Gabe was a member of First Baptist Church in Enid, OK. He played basketball, baseball, football, and ran cross country. He was a good student, a hard worker, and committed teammate.

Gabe always loved OU, even as a little boy. He was a member of the Sooner Kids Club and waited hours for autographs from his favorite football players. In the fall of 2017, he enrolled at the University of Oklahoma where he received an Academic Achievement Award and was a member of Sooner Society. Gabe was an active member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity. He served as a DU Judicial Board member, as Spring Philanthropy Chair 2017-18, and was a Soonerthon team leader in 2018. He graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
