A Celebration of Life and Remembrance for Edna Mae Emmerich, age 85 years, of Edmond, formerly of Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Monday, October 5, 2015 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Stuart Malloy officiating. Burial will follow in Garber Cemetery. Edna passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at home in Edmond.
Edna was born January 21, 1930 to Leslie Eugene Harman and Mina (Disney) Harman in Enid, Ok. She was raised on the family farm east of Garber where she was a great help to her parents. She married Eldon Enfield in 1948 and they had one son. They continued their farming operation near Garber until around 1984. Edna moved to Dover and lived there for 18 years before moving to Enid. She moved to Edmond, OK in 2013 where she lived until her passing. Edna loved to sew and was a wonderful seamstress. She made a variety of things, including wedding dresses, curtains, and even purses. Cooking was also something Edna excelled at, often cooking for friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Mina Harman.
Edna is survived by her son, Gary Enfield of Garber, OK; one grandson, Caylen Lee Enfield, of Garber; one granddaughter, Kendall Conger, of Garber; two brothers, Gene Harman and wife June, of Billings, OK; Calvin Harman and wife Catherine, of Perry, OK; and sister Mary Jane Adams and husband David, of Sherman, TX; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other family.
