Graveside services for Betty Jean Emick age 87 of Enid will 10 am Saturday at the Garden Chapel at Memorial Park with Rev. Thom Cunningham officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Betty was born March 15, 1924 to Howard A. and Edna Garis Earhart in Enid and passed away early Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the Enid Senior Care. She was the youngest of 11 children and she attended Enid High School.
Betty married Richard Emick in 1947 in Caldwell, Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2008.
Betty worked at McCellens Dept Store and Sears & Roebuck. She later was the co-owner of Emick Electronics from 1955-2007.
Betty is survived by a son John "Ed" Emick, a daughter Pamela and husband Danny Metscher both of Enid, granddaughters Lori Emick Jordan of Oklahoma City, Jennifer and Bobby Buckles of Dallas, and Amanda Crabb of Enid, six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, parents and 10 brothers and sisters, and her loving dog and companion Suzie.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who was our rock.
