A service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Jeanette “Jenny” Buchanan Ekstrom, 67, of Enid will be Friday, August 8, 2014, 10:00 AM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Cremation is under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Jenny was born September 28, 1946 in Enid, OK the daughter of Kenneth and Glenna Wampler Buchanan and died August 5, 2014 in Enid. She was employed for many years as an X-ray Technician. After returning to Enid, she helped her father run the families restaurant, Tia Juana. Jenny was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a person who put others first, always wanting to serve.
Survivors include her father, Kenneth, a sister, Barbara Marshall of Enid, a sister-in-law, Judy Buchanan of Enid, two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Lyle Guy Battin, her mother and a brother, Glen Buchanan.
