Funeral services for Merle E. Eggers age 93 of Enid will be 10 a.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Merle was born May 28, 1918 in Fairmont, OK to Theodore and Christina Schwartz Eggers and passed away Saturday September 17, 2011 in the Greenbrier Nursing Home.
He grew up and attended Belleview School in the Fairmont community. He served a short period in the Army before he was honorably discharged. He farmed in the Fairmont Communities.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters Lorene, Miranda, and Opal, four brothers Alfred, Everett, Marion, and Edwin.
Memorials may be made to Ross Hospice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund.
