Calvin Eggers

Funeral services for Calvin C. Eggers 78, of Fairmont will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 1, 2014 in the Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont, Oklahoma. The Rev. Tim Dorsch will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Calvin was born at home January 8, 1936, the son of Clarence and Lilly (Timm) Eggers and died January 29, 2014 In Enid, OK. Calvin attended Zion Lutheran Grade School until the 8th grade. Calvin graduated from Garber High School in 1954. In 1958 Calvin was drafted into the U.S. Army and served as a Medic in a surgical hospital in Landstuhl, Germany. He was discharged from the Army in 1962 and returned home to farm for the rest of his life.

Calvin was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Fairmont. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lilly Eggers, one brother Donald Eggers and one nephew Timmy Don Eggers.

Calvin is survived by: one sister Jane Diel and her husband Robert, three nieces: Kimberly Nakvinda and her husband Chris, Lori Herrell and her husband Dan, and Pamela Shiplett and her husband Darren. Calvin also has several great nieces and nephews.
