Funeral service for Alma F. Ediger age 88 of Enid will be 10 am Saturday at Enid Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev, Jay Risner and Rev. Gary Lillie officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Mennonite Brethren Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Alma was born October 16, 1925 in Enid to George and Eva Janzen Kroeker and passed away February 5, 2014 at the Golden Oaks Nursing Home. She grew up in the Kremlin Community and graduated from Kremlin High School in 1943. She married Dan Ediger on October 31, 1943 in Enid, OK. They made their home in Kremlin Community. She was a member of the North Enid Mennonite Brethren Church and later became a member of Enid Mennonite Brethren Church, where she taught Sunday school, Women Missionary Society, a Deacon’s wife, played piano for the quartet, and Oklahoma Bible Academy Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed to garden, canning, and playing the organ at Golden Oaks Village.
Alma is survived by her husband Dan, children Karen and Jack Sawatzky of Cordell, Rhonda and Richard Isaacs of Turpin, and Roger and Cathy Ediger of Carrier, grandchildren Jeff and wife Amber Sawatzky, Lisa Batt and husband Donovan, Kari Korner and husband Adam, Russell Isaacs and wife Alice, Lori Mahon and husband Heath, Ryan Ediger and wife Stephanie, and Laura Stirton and husband Marc, great grandchildren Justin, Molly, and Mindy Sawatzky, Dawson, Samathan, and Drew Batt, Landon Schmidt Stirton and Luke Stirton, Sister Helen and husband Melvin Warkentin and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Wesley Kroeker.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Bible Academy with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
