A Celebration of Life Claire May Ostrander Eddy, age 70 of Billings, is 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Pond Creek with Pastor Les Washnock officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Claire was born July 19, 1946 in Pontiac, Michigan to James Martin Ostrander and Leona Ruella (Ayling) Ostrander, and passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 in Enid.
She attended schools in West Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, moving to Pond Creek, OK in 1983, eventually over the years settling in Billings, OK. Claire had many talents and hobbies. She was an amazing seamstress; making clothes , costumes, prom dresses, wedding gowns and quilts. She loved to design floral arrangements and decorate homes for the holidays. She also enjoyed baking, crocheting and just about any art and craft project. After early retirement, she cared for her grandchildren, her pride and joy. She had a heart for Gold and loved unconditionally.
Claire was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Diane Guile, and brothers, Marty Ostrander and Jimmy Ostrander.
She is survived by daughters, Stacy Chain and husband Ronnie, of Pond Creek; Hollie Marie Ostrander of Billings, OK; four grandchildren, Caitlyn Chain; Jayden Chain; Nicholas Hanna and Kyra Hanna; one great-granddaughter, Faith Emma-Marie King, of Edmond; two sisters, Maryann Geiger of Pennsylvania, Charlene Badenhoop of, Michigan; as well as several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Memorials in Claire’s name may be made toward funeral expenses or to the YWCA of Enid with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
