A Celebration of Life Service for George Duane Ecker age 82 of Enid will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Steve Driskill and Rev. Carrell Still officiating. Private burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Duane was born March 12, 1935 in Cleo Springs to Grant and Marie Pope Ecker and passed away September 15, 2017 in Enid. He was raised in the Cleo Springs community where he graduated from high school. Duane married Judy Easterly on December 8, 1956 in Enid. Duane served in the Air National Guard. He retired from O G & E after many years. He enjoyed farming and going to his nieces and nephews ballgames. After retirement Duane and Judy enjoyed traveling around the country. He looked forward to having coffee with his coffee buddies.
Duane served on the board at Davis Park Christian Church and later attended Willow Road Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife Judy of the home and many special nieces and nephews, brother in law Bill and Linda Easterly and sister in law Lynne Thielke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Wilma Louise Easterling and Chrystal Ann Crane-Willard.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love or Willow Road Christian Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians.
