Florn Easterly

Funeral services for Florn Eugene Easterly will be 1:00pm, Friday, November 17, 2023 in the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tommy Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Gene was born March 9, 1957 in Enid to Florn and Rose Marie (Swaim) Easterly and passed away November 14, 2023. He graduated from Covington-Douglas High School in 1975. Gene worked in the oilfield, construction, and Garber CO-OP. He enjoyed the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing, hunting and arrowhead collecting. His greatest love was his family. Gene loved to get together with them for all sorts of events. He was the family prankster, and would pick on the nieces and nephew. Gene was an avid OU fan, and even had a prosthetic with their logo on it.

Gene is survived by his brothers, Eddie Easterly, and wife Sondra, Richard Easterly, and wife Rebecca; nieces, Brandi Sharp and husband Drew, Heather Long and husband Mike, Brittany Lay and husband Zach, Stephanie Shellabarger and husband Michael; nephew, Christopher Easterly and wife Meredith; 4 great nieces; 5 great nephews; 1 great-great niece; 2 great-great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Deborah Arnold, and husband David.

Memorial donations may be made to Covington Senior Citizens Center with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
