Stacia was born June 30, 1974, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Stanley D. and Darlene K. (Stevens) Tatum, and passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
From a very young age, Stacia had a connection with animals. She had a variety of pets but her love for horses prompted her to take Equestrian riding lessons, and she was a natural. She always dreamed of being a veterinarian. She was an avid reader, and school seemed boring to her. She attended Westmoore High School, going on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Southeastern Oklahoma University. She then attended the University of Arkansas, where she completed her B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science. While attending UA, she married Harold Dunnam, of Pilot Point, Texas. After graduation, she returned to Pilot Point, where she went to work for the Texas Health Resources System. A short period later, she became pregnant with her daughter Rylen, despite being told she could never have children. She was totally devoted to being Rylen’s mama until the Lord called her home.
Stacia is survived by her husband, Harold Dunnam, her parents, Stanley and Darlene Tatum, of the home in Enid; brother, Preston Tatum, and daughter, Rylen Dunnam, of Enid. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Edith Johnson, and her paternal grandparents, Archie and Imogene Tatum.
Memorial contributions in Stacia's name may be made to Emmanuel Christian School with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
