Lova and her twin sister, Lois, were born November 4, 1915 at their farm near Garber, Oklahoma to Charles E. and Edye Gaynell (Bruce) Gracy. Lova passed away February 4, 2018. The twins were raised on the farm near Garber and went to Garber public schools. Lova married Cecil Maxey of Enid, Oklahoma on June 30, 1936. Cecil died on June 6, 1989. Lova married Ferrell Driskell in July, 1976. Ferrell died in August 2007. Lova and Cecil lived in a few farming communities near Garber as well as on a farm south of Waukhomis, Oklahoma prior to buying their own farm near Wellington, Kansas. Besides helping with the farming, Lova worked at her children's school cafeteria, then at the furniture factory in Wellington. A couch she upholstered was displayed in a show in New York City. She also managed the Pine and Lodge Cafe and worked in Stamn's Grocery store. Her last job was for the Singer Sewing Machine Company in Enid. Lova retired to care for her parents their farm north of Caldwell, Kansas. Her parents, brother Warren Gracy, and twin sister, Lois predeceased her. Lova and Cecil were phenomenal dancers. They would be given entire floors at dance halls, surrounded crowds of onlookers. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Wellington.

Lova is survived by her son Vernon of Moore, Oklahoma; daughter Fern Bowman of Boulder; son Warren (Shorty) Maxey and wife Linda of Aquilla, Texas; and brother Eldon B. Gracy of Caldwell; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; 2 step children; step grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Lova loved traveling, especially if she had to fly to get there. Over the past 10 years, she cruised twice to the Caribbean; traveled twice to Hawaii; to Mount Rushmore ; made several trips to Aspen, Colorado, and traveled 3 times to Prescott, Arizona to visit Lois' daughter Pat and Pat’s husband Steve. Pat and Steve took her to see the Grand Canyon, and to Nevada for one of her favorite activities-slot machines. Lova and Lois celebrated several birthdays together. Their 90th birthday was celebrated at the Breckenridge Community Center in Enid, with over 100 friends and relatives in attendance.

Lova was an adventurist. She was always happy and smiling that beautiful smile to the end. Happy trails, dear mama.
