The funeral service for Lillian Mae Dresser, age 92 will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 10:00 am at the St Paul’s Lutheran Church. Rev Kenneth Wade will officiate. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Lillian Mae was born February 11, 1918 on the farm of her grandfather Dresser (homestead west of Enid,) to Clarence Weyburn and Laurena Sterba Dresser and died April 27, 2010 in Enid. She attended the Lahoma Public Schools.
Lillian Mae graduated from the Oklahoma A&M College in 1940 with a BS degree. She taught school three years, two in Newkirk, OK, one in Altamont, KS. She worked in the control lab for Continental Oil during WW II . She was the lead bookkeeper at the First National Bank of Ponca City and then the Citizens State Bank of Oklahoma City. Then she worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas in the marketing department which was work she really enjoyed. She retired in 1980.
During her life she was a member of the Sorority, Kappa Delta; A.A.U.W.; the Garden Club, Beta Delta Conclave of KKI; several Bible study groups and member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church. She always said that the Lord created in her heart a desire to study His Word. She did this daily and enjoyed the fellowship of her Bible study groups and women’s groups.
She is survived by her friends and several nieces and nephews.
