They enjoyed many activities together including bowling, and were members of the Roadrunner’s Square Dancing Club. She loved Phillips University Basketball and was a big fan of the OKC Thunder. Amelia loved watching John Wayne movies and listening to Elvis Presley, Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, DuWaine Dodds; brother J. W. Hirst; a sister, Catherine Nelson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
