George Dobrovolny

The funeral service for George J Dobrovolny, age 92 will be Monday, February 10, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Father Edward Menasco will officiate. Burial will be at the St Joseph Calvary Cemetery, Hennessey, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
George was born April 3, 1921 near Bison, OK to Frank and Julia Dobrovolny and passed away Monday morning, February 3, 2014 at Greenbrier Nursing Home, Enid, OK.
He married Lillian Julia Fuksa, February 3, 1942 in Bison, OK. Later he entered active military service, participating in the invasion of North Africa and Italy. He was liberated in April 1945 and returned to Oklahoma resuming farming and turned his hobby of gun repair into a business.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian and his sister, Julia Milacek.
He is survived by two daughters, Betty Goe and Darlene Foster; two sons, Roger Dobrovolny and Alan Dobrovolny; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be emailed to the family at ladusauevans@suddenlinkmail.com
